Peter Petyt

Peter qualified as an accountant with Deloitte in 1989. After ten years in industry with family businesses, and two years in the internet sector, Peter began his advisory career in 2001 with London based top 50 accountancy practice Pridie Brewster.

In 2004 Peter was headhunted to join top 20 accountancy practice UHY Hacker Young, where he took over as head of corporate finance at the end of 2005. In September 2006 Peter and his team at UHY Hacker Young were invited to establish the London and South East corporate finance division of AIM quoted Begbies Traynor but after an internal change of strategy in 2007 Peter launched his own advisory boutique Decision Capital which was sold prior to Peter's move to BDO Bahrain in March 2010.

Peter is a former Deputy Chairman of the Corporate Finance Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is co-founder of the Middle East Network of the Faculty. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Manama and is Treasurer of the Bahrain British Business Forum.

Qualifications: MA in Modern Languages from University of Oxford, ACA from Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Advanced Diploma in Corporate Finance
